Building things that work, helping organizations that matter.
I’m a Solutions Architect and former MSP Operations Manager who’s spent the last decade supporting and designing secure, scalable infrastructure for organizations who can’t afford to get it wrong.
My day job centers around cloud modernization — particularly on-premise to Azure migrations, Entra ID deployments, and M365 ecosystem work — along with email platform migrations and hypervisor upgrades that organizations have been putting off for too long. I spend a lot of time translating business requirements into technical roadmaps that actually make sense and can be defended to both stakeholders and auditors. I’ve supported clients through PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CMMC, and other regulatory frameworks, which means I know how to gather the right documentation and work across teams to get compliance work done without making everyone’s life miserable.
The rest of my time goes to building other things. I’ve got a home lab that started as “just a Plex server” and somehow evolved into multiple desktop nodes running Proxmox clusters with a container stack that’s gotten entirely out of hand. I collect Magic: The Gathering cards, build overly detailed Lego cities that aim for small-town America vibes, and restore a 2004 Chevy Colorado that’s been in my family for over 20 years. Two cats supervise most of these projects with varying degrees of helpfulness.
What connects all of this is that I like making things work better than they did before. Whether that’s a homelab setup, a Commander deck that shouldn’t function but does, or helping a nonprofit get their IT foundation solid so they can focus on their actual mission instead of wondering why their email keeps breaking.
The volunteer work is a new focus for me, but one I feel is an important and underserved segment of the volunteer sphere. Small nonprofits especially get stuck with terrible IT situations not because they don’t care, but because “hire a consultant” isn’t in the budget. I can help with that.
If you’re a nonprofit that could use some practical IT help — security planning, infrastructure design, or just someone to explain why your current setup isn’t working — reach out. If you’re an employer who wants to see what I build when I’m not on the clock, or if you’re just curious about any of these projects and want to discuss them, stick around and read what I’m thinking about.
Either way, thanks for stopping by!
